About the Group

The group's field of work and goals.

The Plant Pathology Research Group investigates the molecular basis of barley and wheat diseases and plant–pathogen interactions. Our work focuses on understanding the biology of cereal pathogens and developing experimental approaches to disease management.

We combine molecular biology and genetics methods with microbiological experiments to examine how pathogens and host plants respond to different conditions. Through these studies, we aim to expand basic knowledge of plant health and provide a basis for further research.
