About the Group

The group's field of work and goals.

The Toxicology Research Group studies the cellular effects of natural and synthetic substances using in vitro models. Our work focuses on cell viability, DNA damage, oxidative stress, and cell death. We evaluate the effects of pharmaceuticals, preservatives, pesticides, nanoparticles, and plant extracts in different cell models.
Our research examines toxic responses to individual substances and combined exposures, alongside potential protective effects and anticancer activity. We combine cytotoxicity and genotoxicity analyses with assessments of apoptosis, necrosis, and endocrine-disrupting effects to investigate biological responses under experimental conditions.
